Spent the day taking care of business in the library.. long day but seemed to have achieved a lot.. got home and started to do the soap casting for one part of the final piece.. soap is not as soft as I thought carving it out of the 11kg bucket it arrived in was a bit of a task.. however i have two legs of the poured and i will wait to see how they turn out as to whether I carry on with the other parts… I will post some photos of the casting process later in the week.
Some artists that are starting to make me think more about where I am heading are Janine Antoni and Mona Hatoum… Here are a couple of photos of their work..
